
The Origin
For over a decade, my life was dictated by the heartbeat of the hotel lobby. Serving as a Hotel Director, I learned that true hospitality isn’t found in spreadsheets or rigid protocols; it lives in the quiet moments of human connection. It’s the art of making a guest feel entirely at home the moment they step through the door.
But during my years managing operations, I noticed a widening gap. Fermanagh is brimming with incredible independent talent (artisan food producers, passionate boat captains, and keepers of local history). Yet, these brilliant local entrepreneurs were being weighed down by clunky administration, while hotels lacked a seamless way to introduce guests to them.
That is why we built Honne. By partnering my hands-on operational background with my co-founder’s 12 years of experience as a tech Product Manager, we set out to solve a real-world problem. We didn’t want to build another detached software platform. We wanted to create a digital bridge that strips away the noise, returns precious time to hoteliers, and keeps the focus exactly where it belongs: on the guest experience.
